Riot Games Borong Tiga Penghargaan di Esports Awards 2019

Esports Award 2019 merupakan ajang penghargaan bagi industri esports dunia. Diadakan di Arlington, Texas, Amerika Serikat, Esports Award 2019 memberikan penghargaan di 27 kategori. Riot Games perusahaan game papan atas berhasil memborong tiga penghargaan sebagai Esports Publisher of the Year, Esports Game of the Year yang diraih League of Legends, dan Esports Event of the Year untuk LoL World Championship 2019.

G2 Esports saat menjuarai Mid Season Invitational 2019

Raihan League of Legends sebagai game esports terbaik di 2019 semakin lengkap setelah G2 Esports divisi League of Legends dinobatkan sebagai Esports Team of the Year menaklukkan sejumlah tim ternama seperti Astralis (CS:GO), OG (DOTA 2) dan SKT1 (LOL). Datang dengan status dengan tidak diunggulkan, mereka sukses menjadi juara Mid Season Invitational 2019. Mereka nyaris menjadi juara di Worlds 2019 namun mereka takluk di grand final melawan FunPlus Phoneix dengan skor telak 0-3.

Kyle “Bugha” Giesdorf saat menjuarai Fortnite World Cup Finals 2019

Raihan menarik lainnya datang dari Kyle “Bugha” Giesdorf yang dikenal sebagai pemain Fortnite. Berhasil menjadi juara di Fortnite World Cup Finals Solo membuat ia membawa pulang raihan US$ 3 juta dan melambungkan namanya di berbagai media dunia. Ia berhasil meraih Esports PC Rookie of the Year dan Esports PC Player of the Year. Kyle sukses mengalahkan pemain-pemain ternama seperti Luka “Perkz” Perković, pemain LOL G2 Esports dan Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, pemain CS:GO Natus Vincere di Esports PC Player of the Year.

Herschel Beahm IV atau dikenal dengan Dr DisRespect berhasil meraih Esports Streamer of the Year untuk kedua kalinya. Sebelumnya, ia meraih penghargaan tersebut di tahun 2017.

Selain itu Team Liquid dinobatkan sebagai Esports Organization of the Year. Berbagai prestasi membanggakan diraih oleh divisi-divisi Team Liquid di 2019 seperti divisi CS:GO yang sukses meraih Intel Grand Slam Season 2 dan sempat meraih peringkat 1 versi HLTV selama 18 minggu, divisi DOTA 2 yang meraih juara kedua The International 2019, dan divisi League of Legends meraih juara kedua Mid Season Invitational 2019.
